4-3A Special Locator

Elongated bent locator for large-radius curves, turnout areas and other special registration points.

4-3A Special Locator

Specifications

Model4-3A
Drawing No.4-3A
StandardTB/T 2075.4-2024 — Part 4: Non-limit-type positioning devices
InstallationHinged on the registration bracket for special registration points such as large curves and turnouts

The 4-3A special locator extends the standard locator concept with a longer tube body and a larger head angle, for registration points that the standard geometry cannot reach — large-radius curves, turnout areas and similar special situations.

The connection interfaces remain those of the standard family: the head takes the 3-4A registration clamp and the tail hooks the standard registration bracket, so special points still assemble from common parts. Tube stiffness is balanced against weight to keep dynamic following good.

Design Features

  • Elongated bent-tube structure reaches large-curve and special points
  • Interfaces unchanged — standard brackets and clamps fit directly
  • Stiffness and lightness balanced for good dynamic following
  • Anti-corrosion finish for long-term outdoor service

The product is manufactured under CRCC railway product certification and an ISO 9001 quality management system, with incoming material inspection, in-process control on critical operations and batch-by-batch final inspection before delivery.

Henan Chuangwit Railway Equipment Co., Ltd. supplies this locator with selection calculations, matched fittings and site technical guidance for traction power projects.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is a special locator needed?

Where the registration geometry exceeds the standard locator's reach or angle — typically large-radius curves and turnout areas — the 4-3A's elongated bent tube covers the point.

Does it use different clamps or brackets?

No — the head takes the standard registration clamp and the tail hooks the standard registration bracket, so it assembles from the same parts family.

How does the longer tube affect dynamics?

The tube section is chosen to keep stiffness up while weight stays low, so the locator still follows the wire's movement without added inertia.

Which standard applies?

TB/T 2075.4-2024 — Part 4: Non-limit-type positioning devices, of the Fittings for overhead contact system series.

Performance

Operating Conditions

Outdoor service at OCS registration points on mainline, high-speed and station structures, subject to suspension, wind, ice and dynamic pantograph loads as defined by the OCS design.

Mechanical Performance

Elongated tube tuned for stiffness with low mass, keeping dynamic following at extended registration geometry.

Applications

Large-Radius Curves

Reaches registration points standard locators miss.

Turnout Areas

Special geometry over switches and crossings.

Standard Assemblies

Interfaces match the 4-x family.

Harsh Climates

Anti-corrosion finish for outdoor duty.
