Specifications

Model3-5A (Φ34/Φ48/Φ60), 3-5B70
Drawing No.3-5A
StandardTB/T 2075.3-2024 — Part 3: Limit-type positioning devices
Design SpeedTube-mount connection point for ≤250 km/h (3-5A steel) and 250–350 km/h aluminum systems (3-5B70)
MaterialsForged galvanized steel (3-5A); cast aluminum body (3-5B70)
InstallationClamped onto cantilever or positioning tubes as a rotatable connection point for ropes and braces

The 3-5 registration eye is a split clamp ring that bolts around cantilever tubes, inclined cantilevers or positioning tubes and provides a connection ear for braces, suspenders and wind brace ropes. Because it is split, it installs without sliding anything over the tube end, and it can be set anywhere along the tube and rotated to aim the ear.

Two families cover the systems: 3-5A clamp-type eyes in forged, galvanized steel for Φ34, Φ48 and Φ60 tube diameters, and the 3-5B70 single-eye type — a cast aluminum body with rotating double ear bored φ70, matching the φ70×6 aluminum cantilever tubes of 250–350 km/h aluminum systems.

Design Features

  • Φ34 / Φ48 / Φ60 (3-5A) and φ70 aluminum (3-5B70) cover the tube families
  • Split design installs anywhere on the tube without dismantling the end
  • Axial and circumferential adjustment simplifies aiming of braces and ropes
  • Ear hole dimensions standard for suspenders, braces and wind brace fittings

The product is manufactured under CRCC railway product certification and an ISO 9001 quality management system, with incoming material inspection, in-process control on critical operations and batch-by-batch final inspection before delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between 3-5A and 3-5B70?

3-5A is the forged steel clamp-type eye for Φ34/Φ48/Φ60 steel tubes; 3-5B70 is the cast aluminum single-eye type with a φ70 bore and rotating ear, made for the φ70×6 aluminum cantilever tubes of 250–350 km/h systems.

Can it be installed without removing the tube?

Yes — the split ring opens, clamps around the tube and bolts closed, so it can be added or repositioned without sliding it over the tube end.

What connects to the ear?

Suspenders, positioning tube braces, wind brace ropes and similar fittings whose pin or eye dimensions match the standardized ear hole.

How is the eye aimed?

Loosen the clamp bolts, rotate the ring about the tube and slide it axially, then re-tighten — both directions are adjustable.

Performance

Operating Conditions

Outdoor service at OCS registration points on mainline, high-speed and station structures, subject to suspension, wind, ice and dynamic pantograph loads as defined by the OCS design.

Mechanical Performance

Clamp grip and ear strength carry brace and rope loads; split ring retightens without tube deformation.

Applications

High-Speed Aluminum

3-5B70 matches φ70 aluminum cantilevers.

Station Yards

Aim the ear any direction for rope runs.

Retrofit & Repair

Split ring bolts on without tube disassembly.

Standard Assemblies

One ear standard across rope fittings.
