3-4A Registration Clamp

Bolted clamp that grips the contact wire at the locator end without damaging the groove.

3-4A Registration Clamp

Specifications

Model3-4A
Drawing No.3-4A
StandardTB/T 2075.3-2024 — Part 3: Limit-type positioning devices
InstallationFitted at the locator end, clamping the contact wire at the registration point

The 3-4A registration clamp is fitted at the end of the locator (or positioning tube) and grips the contact wire at the registration point. Its clamp groove curvature matches the contact wire cross-section, so bolting it down holds the wire laterally without introducing a hard bend that would damage the groove or upset pantograph contact.

The clamp is a bolted assembly, convenient to fit and remove during pre-assembly and maintenance. It is electrically conductive, contributing to the current path, and it mates with both limit locators and standard locators of the positioning families.

Design Features

  • Clamp groove curvature matched to the contact wire — firm grip, no groove damage
  • Bolt fastening simplifies fitting, removal and maintenance
  • Common part for limit-type and non-limit-type locator families
  • Good conductivity supports the current path through the registration point

The product is manufactured under CRCC railway product certification and an ISO 9001 quality management system, with incoming material inspection, in-process control on critical operations and batch-by-batch final inspection before delivery.

Henan Chuangwit Railway Equipment Co., Ltd. supplies this locator with selection calculations, matched fittings and site technical guidance for traction power projects.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which contact wires does the clamp fit?

The clamp groove is matched to the standard grooved contact wire cross-sections used on Chinese mainline OCS; confirm your wire section (e.g. CTS-120/150 class) with us when ordering.

Does clamping damage the contact wire?

No — the groove curvature matches the wire profile, so clamping pressure spreads over the groove without creating a hard bend or sharp point that would harm the pantograph strip.

How is it fastened?

With through-bolts to the specified torque; the bolted design allows the clamp to be removed and refitted during maintenance without cutting.

Can it be used on non-limit locators?

Yes — the 3-4A is common to the limit-type and non-limit-type locator families of TB/T 2075.3 and 2075.4.

Performance

Operating Conditions

Outdoor service at OCS registration points on mainline, high-speed and station structures, subject to suspension, wind, ice and dynamic pantograph loads as defined by the OCS design.

Mechanical Performance

Groove curvature matched to the contact wire cross-section holds the wire without stress concentration; bolt torque retains grip under vibration.

Electrical Performance

Conductive body carries current across the registration point, complementing the equipotential jumper.

Applications

High-Speed Registration

Holds stagger under dynamic pantograph loads.

Station Yards

One clamp family across locator types.

Maintenance Access

Bolted design for quick replacement.

Current Path

Conductive body aids current transfer.
