3-8 Suspender Hook

Forged hook with U-bolt, fixed on the flat cantilever, carrying the upper end of the tube suspender.

3-8 Suspender Hook

Specifications

Model3-8
Drawing No.3-8
StandardTB/T 2075.3-2024 — Part 3: Limit-type positioning devices
Tensile Failure LoadWorking 1.5 kN · Sliding ≥2.25 kN · Breaking ≥4.5 kN
MaterialsForged steel, hot-dip galvanized
InstallationBolted to the flat cantilever tube by U-shaped clamp, receiving the upper end of the tube suspender rope

The 3-8 suspender hook is fixed on the flat cantilever tube and receives the upper end of the 3-7B tube suspender rope, hanging the outer end of the positioning tube at its design height and level. The forged hook body carries a hanging bend that the rope's end eye simply drops into, making fitting and removal tool-light.

Load ratings are the backbone of the part: maximum working load 1.5 kN, sliding load not less than 2.25 kN, breaking load not less than 4.5 kN. The U-shaped clamp with double bolts fixes the hook anywhere along the cantilever tube, so the suspension point follows the assembly drawing.

Design Features

  • Working load 1.5 kN; sliding load ≥2.25 kN; breaking load ≥4.5 kN
  • Forged hook body with hanging bend — rope eye drops in and out easily
  • U-bolt double-bolt fixing, position adjustable along the cantilever tube
  • Common part with the tube suspender rope and tube clamp

The product is manufactured under CRCC railway product certification and an ISO 9001 quality management system, with incoming material inspection, in-process control on critical operations and batch-by-batch final inspection before delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What loads can the 3-8 hook carry?

Maximum working load is 1.5 kN, sliding load at least 2.25 kN and breaking load at least 4.5 kN — sized for the tube suspender duty with a comfortable reserve.

How is it mounted?

By a U-shaped clamp with double bolts around the flat cantilever tube; the position along the tube follows the assembly drawing and can be re-set.

How does the rope attach?

The suspender rope's end eye drops into the forged hook's hanging bend — no pin needed, so fitting and removal are quick.

Which parts complete the suspension?

The 3-7B tube suspender rope and the positioning tube clamp at the tube end; the 3-8 hook is the upper anchor on the cantilever side.

Performance

Operating Conditions

Outdoor service at OCS registration points on mainline, high-speed and station structures, subject to suspension, wind, ice and dynamic pantograph loads as defined by the OCS design.

Mechanical Performance

Forged hook carries the tube suspender load with 3× working-load breaking reserve; U-bolt fixing holds position under vibration.

Applications

Mainline Registration

Standard upper anchor of tube suspension.

Station Yards

Position along cantilever fully adjustable.

Maintenance Access

Rope eye lifts out for quick service.

Standard Assemblies

Rated to the 3-7B rope family.
