Which old standards do TB/T 3111.1-2026 and TB/T 3111.2-2026 replace?

Part 1 replaces TB/T 3111-2017; Part 2 replaces the 28-year-old TB/T 2937-1998

Short answer: TB/T 3111 is now a two-part series, both effective 1 September 2026: TB/T 3111.1-2026 (copper and copper-alloy stranded wires) replaces TB/T 3111-2017, and TB/T 3111.2-2026 (aluminum-clad steel reinforced aluminum stranded wire) replaces TB/T 2937-1998.

Technical changes

Copper-magnesium stranded wire grades are revised, copper-chromium-zirconium stranded wire (JTCZ) is added as a new grade, and the structure and parameters of aluminum-clad steel cored aluminum stranded wire are fully updated along with joint and current-carrying test requirements.
