Metro section insulators divide a DC overhead contact system into electrically separate, in-phase sections so individual sections can be de-energised for maintenance or isolated after a fault without disturbing adjacent sections. They are the working counterpart of AC neutral sections, but designed for the tighter clearances, higher traffic density and confined spaces of urban rail - tunnels, depots and surface running on metro DC networks.
The Henan Chuangwit FYFH series is designed and manufactured to TB/T 3252-2022 and covers the three installation situations found on metro OCS: single contact wire in flexible suspension, double contact wire in flexible suspension, and rigid overhead suspension. All versions are rated DC 1500 V and for line speeds up to 120 km/h, combining compact overall dimensions with dependable insulation and smooth pantograph passage.
Product Groups
- FYFH-1.0TG-DC - flexible-suspension section insulator for single contact wire; the flexible structure adapts to complex installation environments.
- FYFH-2.0TG-DC - flexible-suspension section insulator for double contact wire; easy to install and suited to higher-current sections.
- FYFH-0.6T-DC - compact section insulator for rigid overhead suspension; reliable insulation in confined tunnel and depot spaces.
Selection Guide
Match the suspension type first. Flexible catenary takes the TG (flexible) versions - single-wire 1.0TG for ordinary sections, double-wire 2.0TG where the section carries higher current. Rigid suspension takes the FYFH-0.6T-DC.
Consider the location. In tunnels and depots, clearances and maintenance access drive the choice: the rigid type compact profile suits confined tunnels, while flexible versions forgive alignment tolerances on open sections. Confirm item by item against your OCS cross-sections.
Installation and care. Units are clamped into the contact wire or conductor rail run with the insulation gaps aligned to the pantograph path; periodic inspection checks runner surfaces, gaps and fastener torque.
