Short answer
GB/T 25020.1-2025 "Poles for electrified railway overhead contact systems — Part 1: Steel poles" was issued on 24 January 2025 and took effect on 1 August 2025, fully replacing GB/T 25020.1-2010 (lattice poles), GB/T 25020.3-2016 (ring-section steel tube poles) and GB/T 25020.4-2016 (H-section poles). The former series, which was split by pole type, has been consolidated into a single steel pole standard.
Impact on procurement
Tender technical specifications and acceptance criteria for steel pole products should now reference GB/T 25020.1-2025 uniformly; H-section poles, lattice poles and ring-section steel tube poles are all covered by the new standard. The supporting raw material standard for H-section steel, GB/T 34199-2017, remains in force.
