Performance
Operating Conditions
Suitable for sections with different pollution levels; simultaneously withstands mechanical loads and electrical insulation stresses.
Mechanical Performance
Full range of 8–20 kN bending loads; every porcelain unit undergoes a mechanical load test. The composite version withstands impacts without breaking.
Electrical Performance
Dry and wet power-frequency withstand voltages, lightning impulse withstand voltage and creepage distance meet the requirements of TB/T 3199; the double-insulation type offers higher reliability.
Applications
Suspension on main-line support cantilevers
On main-line support cantilevers, composite rod insulators isolate the live components from the pole.
Coastal sections with severe pollution
In severely polluted coastal sections, composite rod insulators with a long creepage distance are used to prevent pollution flashover.
Insulation at anchor points
At anchor points, the composite rod insulator simultaneously withstands the tension and the insulation stress.
Extreme cold regions
In extreme cold sections, the units of composite rod insulators maintain stable frost and thaw resistance.
