CT series copper contact wire is a key current-conducting component of the electrified railway overhead contact system; its performance directly affects pantograph current collection quality and power supply reliability. Terms and definitions: the contact wire runs above the rails, remains in contact with the pantograph strip and conducts current, with left-right symmetric suspension grooves in the upper cross-section. As the continuous conductor that touches the pantograph strip and carries traction current, copper contact wire has symmetric grooves for reliable clamping and stable current collection.
Application: conductor for overhead contact systems of electrified railways, suitable for conventional and speed-raised railway contact suspensions, and can be combined with messenger wires, droppers and various clamps into a complete contact suspension.
Available models: CT65, CT85, CT85(T), CT100, CT110, CT120, CT150, selectable by line tension and current collection requirements.
Standard: GB/T 12971.1-2023, Contact wires for electric traction — Part 1: Copper and copper alloy contact wires. Note: the railway industry standard TB/T 2809-2026, Copper alloy contact wires for electrification railway OCS, has removed the pure copper contact wire type; for railway projects please choose alloy contact wires such as CTM/CTS/CTA/CTCZ. This series applies to general traction power supply scenarios procured under GB/T 12971.1-2023.
