The 1-2 inclined cantilever is the slanted load-bearing tube of a cantilever support device for electrified railway overhead contact systems. Arranged diagonally between the mast and the flat cantilever, it closes the load-bearing triangle of the assembly and provides the mounting reference for the positioning device that holds the contact wire at the designed stagger.

The lower end cooperates with the cantilever base and the post-side insulator; the upper end is hinged to the flat cantilever through the 1-3 cantilever connector; and the 1-6 support connector attaches the support tube to it. This triangulated arrangement raises the overall stiffness of the assembly and suppresses vibration and displacement in service.
