Xi’an East Station, the largest high-speed rail hub station in Asia, has recently completed energisation of its OCS, marking the successful activation of the energy heart of this super hub and laying a solid foundation for it to enter operation within the year.

Located in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, Xi’an East Station is an extra-large comprehensive transport hub integrating high-speed rail, conventional rail, metro and urban bus services. The station is enormous in scale: its total building area exceeds 330000 square metres, it provides 17 platforms and 35 tracks, and its expected annual passenger throughput reaches 62 million.
The station is the most important railway passenger hub in north-west China and a key node of the national eight-vertical, eight-horizontal high-speed rail network. Its design incorporates elements of the ancient city wall of Xi’an, fully expressing the appeal of a historic and cultural city alongside the innovation of modern transport architecture.
