The CT-type messenger wire connection clamp (drawing No. JL05(11CT)-2010) serves joints between connection cables and messenger wires in electrified OCS systems, in T2 copper by die forging.
Excellent mechanical and electrical performance: slip load between the clamp and the messenger wire or connection cable at least 4.0kN, ampacity not lower than the rated ampacity of the joined wire — safe and reliable in service.

Performance
Operating Conditions
For all conductive nodes of the OCS, ensuring smooth traction current return.
Mechanical Performance
The clamp grips reliably without damaging the wire; the connection cable is soft and bend-tolerant.
Electrical Performance
Low transition resistance; ampacity satisfies traction current requirements without overheating in long-term service.
Applications
Tension length joints:
CT-type clamps (JL05(11CT)-2010) ensure electrical continuity across tension lengths.
Turnout areas:
CT-type clamps provide equipotential bonding between OCS legs at turnouts.
Mainline suspension points:
CT-type clamps split current between messenger wire and contact wire on mainlines.
Feeder nodes:
CT-type clamps carry high current at feeder introduction points.
